Lille was designed as a block of the month to accompany my gorgeous fabric collection by the same name. The main print in the fabric line is a reproduction of a stunning French bird and floral print. The quilt features all of the fabrics in the fabric line, many of which have been fussy cut to achieve some beautiful effects. A number of different techniques have been used throughout the quilt including hand and machine piecing, English Paper Piecing and needleturn applique. Broderie perse, using motifs from the main feature fabric and the Fan Flower print, feature in the central block and applique border. However, Lille can be made either with, or without the Borderie Perse appliqué depending on preference and skill level. The patterns include the four options for making this quilt.
