Torrington Place Fabric Range
I am very exited to announce the upcoming release of my first fabric range, Torrington Place, with Penny Rose Fabrics.
Torrington Place is a reproduction range inspired by a piece 1860's red paisley border print that I purchased from Mary Kovel a couple of years ago, just because I liked it. Never did I think I would ever get to reproduce it and that would become the beginning of a fabric range. In fact it never even entered my head!
Designing this range was a huge learning curve as I have had to learn to use Illustrator to do all the artwork required and to colour the completed fabrics. That's right, I've had to learn to draw on the computer. Thank you to Gabby for all her assistance and patience throughout the process. I probably drove her crazy but couldn't have done it without her help. Thank you also to Sue Daley, Patchwork with Busyfingers & Millhouse Collections, who invited me to design for and submit a range on behalf of Penny Rose Fabrics at Riley Blake. I probably also drove Sue mad with my questions and concerns but her mentoring & guidance have been invaluable and much appreciated. Thanks Sue also for the loan of Gabby when I needed her help. Lastly thank you to Jina and her team at Penny Rose Fabrics for liking what I produced enough to make a dream come true. I can't wait to see it all in cloth and I hope you like it.
