Torrington Place Fabric Range Now Available!
Torrington Place is a reproduction range inspired by a piece 1860's red paisley border print that I purchased from Mary Kovel a couple of years ago, just because I liked it. Never did I think I would ever get to reproduce it and that would become the beginning of a fabric range. In fact it never even entered my head! The collection features 21 prints with 7 different designs in 3 colour ways each.
Torrington Place was featured at the 'Turkey Red Tour' held in October, 2016 at the International Quilt Study Centre and Museum in Nebraska, USA. In comparing the Turkey reds in my collection with those in antique quilts and fabrics it was reported that the red in Torrington Place was an accurate reproduction of samples from as far back as 1818.
I have used Torrington Place in 3 new quilts and was privileged enough to be asked to design the 2017 Quiltmania Mystery Quilt using the collection. It has been very exciting seeing my fabrics being used all around the world by people making my design. The quilt is featured in Quiltmania magazine and started in January, 2017 with edition 117. The finished quilt will be revealed in the November edition.
All fabrics are now available for sale on my website at $22.50 per metre. Limited stock.
