This quilt was inspired by a quilt made by a mother and her four daughters on board a ship sailing on the Atlantic Ocean from Cardigan Wales to the family's new home in America in 1847. It is hand pieced using a variety of fabrics for a scrappy look, straight set with narrow lattices and pieced cornerstones and finished with a floral border. It can be made using perspex templates for ease and accuracy. Finished size - 72" x 72".
