Merrill Quails was designed to teach at Tater Patch Quilts, in Merrill, Oregon, featuring my beautiful fabric collections Lost Gardens of Heligan and Philomena, with a touch of Yeoville, and Bucklebury Chintz. Different techniques have been used throughout the quilt including hand or machine piecing, foundation piecing and needleturn appliqué. Broderie perse, using motifs from the main floral feature prints can be featured in the central block if desired instead of the grape flowers on the pattern.
