This quilt was inspired by a Wild Goose Chase quilt made in the 1840s-1850s in the USA. The original quilt was meticulously pieced and features a wonderful selection of pre-Civil War fabrics the style of which is emulated in this reproduction. It is, however, the dynamic sashing distinguishes this early quilt from others made in the same era.
This quilt can be reproduced using traditional hand or machine piecing or can be foundation pieced for speed and accuracy. Finished quilt size 78" x 78"
