This original design was inspired by a quilt made in Kentucky in 1858, and a second quilt made in Iowa in the later quarter of the 19th century. It consists of 8 Carpenter's Wheel blocks and 5 appliqué blocks, which are set on point, with pieced lattices and Le Moyne star cornerstones. There are 3 borders, which complete the quilt.
It is hand and machine pieced or can be entirely pieced by hand. Finished quilt – 84½" x 84½"
