This quilt is a reproduction of a quilt made in 1882 by 6 year old Louisa Jacoby. Each block is 5in. square and beautifully hand stitched in redwork using a small even stemstitch

Louisa was attending boarding school in the state of Maine in 1882, however little else is known about her. Her quilt now resides in the state of Victoria, Australia where is it greatly admired.
