Perspex templates are available for some of the projects. These are custom made from 3mm translucent fibre-optic plastic and are great for quick rotary cutting and accurate marking of seam allowances and, therefore, more accurate piecing. All templates include laser marked ¼" seam allowances and holes where the seam allowances meet.
Templates can be used for hand and machine piecing and as they are made from clear plastic they allow accurate placement over fabric for fussy cutting which can result in great effects.
Draw or rotary cut around the edge of the template, mark through the holes using a fine mechanical pencil, and, if hand piecing use the corresponding edge of the template to join the holes and mark the stitching line. No more templastic and having to mark the ¼" seam allowances. They are fantastic!
